For 2009 SE Bikes continues to push forward on their foray into single speed and fixed gear cycles. Whereas the 2008 models where just single speed, 2009 sees the addition of a flip flop hub, allowing for a quick change between the two options. The aesthetic make up touches on SE’s bmx heritage, with the checker board patterning, which is a nice look for the brand.

unfortunately they are tiwaniese junk and laced with low end components.
the se lager always had a flip flop hub.
and the seat is copied from the odyssey lumber jack seat from last season.
the se lager is a beginners street fixed gear bike. the frame is pretty good. its has good clearance for bar spin. very strong tube but a bit on the heavy side. they need to work on getting better components. the msrp is about the same as a langster or fuji track but the lager only comes with fsa cranks. come on! they really dropped the ball on that one.
have one from 07, replaced nearly all compnents, love it w/e
al, they didn\’t always have the built on fixed cog. i\’ve got the 2008 and it has the threads to put one on, but it doesn\’t come attached. i love my 08 but think they have gone way too flashy with the new ones.
