The Snow Centre | Indoor Mountain

Rad Collector - Snow Center
No mountains, no problem. A new indoor snow facility, called The Snow Centre will open on May 6 in the city of Hemel Hempstead, an hour north of London. The £23 million structure has a 160 meter main slope and a 12 month membership costs £100. Between this place and the upcoming Xanadu complex at the Meadowlands, lets hope a trend towards eliminating the natural elements does not continue to catch on with developers. Sure its great to shred all year, and not having to worry about the weather sounds awesome, but if people start forgetting about the mountains, its a wrap. They’re the whole reason we ride. Some more pics of this monstrosity after the jump. For a mega step by step contruction gallery go here.
