The Stoked Awards took place Wednesday night at the Redbull Space in NYC. The annual event honored Airen & Jose, the 2010 Stoked Mentoring Pair of the Year, and emphasized once again how much of a positive impact learning how to skate, snowboard, and surf with a caring role model can have on a teenager’s life. Additional award winners included Mazdack Rassi of Milk Studios for his financial, space, and time donations to Stoked; Meg Hale who met Steve Larosiliere when Stoked was just his dream and helped him make it a reality; and Rita Wadhwani who has volunteered for Stoked since 2006 providing event management and over $80,000 through fundraising for Stoked’s LA chapter.
