Radcollector columnist Jeff Takemoto hit up Skateboarder, Analog and Gravis’ Sunset Rampage 2 event in Hollywood this past Thursday. Here’s a taste:
Skateboarder Magazine in conjunction with Analog and Gravis, held their 2nd annual mini-ramp jammy at the swanky, Standard Hotel located on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip. It was a rather sordid affair, which entailed a fully-stocked open beezy along with trays of hors devours being passed around to a hungry crown of skate heathens.
Full recap and photo gallery after the jump.
As soon as the sunset, Arto got on the mic and commenced to MC the event, shot-calling though out the entire evening. Once the skating frenzy began, it was an all-out, superstar, mega-session consisting of the likes of Dustin Dollin, Sal Barbier, Kenny Anderson, Chet Thomas, Andrew Langi, Tony Manfre, Ben Nordberg and some other gnarly Flip Ams. The level of mini-ramp skills being displayed was top-notch. Towards the end of the night, kids were handed clumps of C-notes, and beach balls took over the baby-blue mini. It was cute.
