Since the opening of its doors in 2010, the Chrome NYC store has been on the pulse of the city with its various events, collabs and high quality bags & biking products. When the brands president, Steve McCallion stopped by the flagship store he gave the crew over at The Crosby Press a rundown on the roots of the company.

Arnette is going full steez this season with a two frame series dedicated to Zac Marben. Featuring a Skylight in red matte with gold chrome lenses and a Series 3 in gray/black with a shadow chrome lens, both goggles feature some of Marben’s signature artwork. Peep the Series 3 after the jump.

Chrome, a brand whose offerings get more on point with each release, have taken on the task of migrating their waterproof backpack tech to outerwear. The result is the Storm series. Consisting of the Cobra technical waterproof hoodie and the Field, a technical waterproof M85 jacket, the Storm series is specific to bike performance but not exclusive to it and can be worn in any situation requiring lightweight, waterproof functionality. One of the best booths at Agenda this year had to be Chrome’s custom bag project where a talented Chrome seamstress walked you through picking out materials and then assembled a bag of your creation. Our own Tim Brodhagen was lucky enough to land one which you can see after the jump.

Arnette has just released a new frame called The Bacon, an aviator in six colors designed to get you out of a speeding ticket due to its pleasurable effect on all ranks of highway patrol. See the rest of the colors after the jump.

Not everyone went from Maloof in Queens to Coleman Park on Go Skateboarding Day in NYC. A select crew including Radcollector familia and columnists Michael Cohen, Brad Clarke, and Alex Corporan kept it in Money Making Manhattan with a GSD mission that included stops at Ace Hotel, The Hundreds, Chrome, SHUT, and The Meatball Shoppe before hitting up Coleman. Radcollector’s Tim Brodhagen had the honor and privilege of getting an exclusive run through of the collection from Cardiel himself. Last Friday on every potheads favorite holiday was the NYC launch of John Cardiel’s travel bag collection with Chrome. The day started with a private event at the Chrome NYC Store and then moved to Sweet & Vicious for an open bar party with DJ Gizmo on the tables. New York heads came out in numbers and attendees included Alex Corporan, Jeff Pang, Ray Mate, Tim Brodhagen, Mark Nardelli, Ivory Serra, Rodney Smith and Josh Zickert just to name a few.
