Last night G-Shock and Supra hosted a premier event at Skylight West in New York City to celebrate the release of their collaboration watch and sneaker. Guests in the packed venue enjoyed complimentary drinks from Stoli and music from Dj Mirandom and Flying Lotus. Notable attendees included Stevie Williams, Nigel Sylvester, French Montana, Raekwon, Too $hort, Boo Johnson, Keelan Dadd, Mike Malbon, RB Umali, and more. Supra opened a new retail flagship store in their own backyard of Santa Monica, California and threw a party to celebrate it last Thursday night with Jim Greco, Chad Muska, Terry Kennedy, Boo Johnson, Furby Keelan Dadd and more. Supra Footwear has opened their first California retail store location in Santa Monica. Supra Santa Monica is the brand’s third location, following the launch of the very successful SUPRA Paris and SUPRA NYC stores in 2011. The 1400-square-foot store is steps away from the busy Santa Monica promenade and only blocks from the beach. If you’re in the area be sure to check it out.
To build some excitement into the release of the new Pistol low, Supra has linked with Deathwish for a limited edition version. Made from black waxed suede and black distressed leather and featuring black waxed laces, red mesh lining, and a Deathwish sock liner with Erik Ellington and Jim Greco on it. Supra, The H-Town Sneaker Summit, and legendary hip hop artist, Bun B have collaborated to create two shoes commemorating the All Star game and the H-Town Sneaker Summit, both taking place on the same weekend in Houston: a blue, signature Stevie Williams S1W represents the East, and a red, signature Terry Kennedy Stacks represents the West. The Trill pack, as the pair has been dubbed, will be released at this year’s winter H-Town Sneaker Summit and will be available in limited quantities a select retailers.
