Well this year, Matix has used sublimated printing to virtually clone a pair of cutoff Dickies 874 pants into a bona fide lightweight surf trunk that should be on a required gift list for every single one of those dudes. Insight has enlisted surfer and artist Otis Carey to create a signature boardshort. The design, dubbed the “Snake Brain Mid” is available in the southern hemisphere now and will hit the north for summer 2013. Check out the video above and hit the jump for some product shots.

Brasilian artist Tom Veiga has been tapped by Billabong Europe to create a series of boardshorts, t-shirts, bikinis, bags, sandals and accessories in his trademark ocean flow inspired style.
