Nike Snowboarding is also in Denver this week, posted up in an undisclosed downtown location. In addition to talking about the latest legend-in-the-making to be added to their team, Nico Muller, Nike previewed some new outerwear pieces and ridiculously dope DK and Zoom Kaiju boots. An Andre Agassi snowboard boot? Too next level. Three more boots and an outerwear peek after the jump.
Another boot banger from SIA is the Juhyo from ThirtyTwo. Named for the Japanese word for snow-covered trees that look like monsters, the Juhyo and it’s obvious nod to VisVim and the Japanese love for speed-lacing, was by far the most unique silhouette previewed at the show. Some more looks after the jump.
Fresh from SIA today is this dope collabo boot between Starks Laces and Burton. This flip on the
Burton-staple Hail frame featuring quilted leather, hunting camo and blaze orange Starks laces will definitely be hot product next season. A couple more looks after the jump.
Nike Snowboarding’s loss is New Balance’s gain. Peep everyone’s favorite shredder, dancer and Olympian Louie Vito rocking these French’s Mustard colorway New Balance x 686 boots at Grand Prix last week. Just something to make you say hmmm.
Check out this sneak peek of the next generation collabo between New Balance and 686. They had this set up on the DL outside of the entrance to Agenda. We’ll get more on this from SIA in two weeks. The sneaker is above, peep the snowboard boot after the jump.
IPATH was also at Agenda with big tings agwon. It wasn’t immediately apparent from the first swoop by, but upon closer inspection, IPATH has taken a huge turn for 2010. Finally aligning with parent company Timberland’s production system after initially keeping the ties to Timbo mellow in the face of rampant rumors of an evil corporate takeover, it’s now obvious to all that having one of the top shoe manufacturers in the world on your team is a good thing. The first of several looks we are bringing you is the new Shearling. A winter staple, the Shearling has long been plagued by severe obesity and been a kick simply too big to rock with anything but a pair of loose camo’s. The new Shearling is taller and thinner, two qualities that are universally appealing. But the real story is that now that IPATH has access to everything Timberland, the Shearling is a full leather boot/shoe on an entire new level of buttery. Get one in your hands and you’ll see. More looks after the jump.
Nike 6.0 has just dropped a ridiculously tech Moto boot, the AIRMX. Designed specifically for legends in the making Ryan Dungey and James Stewart, the boot it so light that it can actually increase the horsepower of the bike. Both Ryan Dungey and James Stewart will be riding the Nike AIRMX as they kick off the Supercross season at Anaheim 1 this weekend .
In some serious proof that it’s who you know, not what you know, Head Snowboards have commissioned an entire kit by a five year old boy. Sure his dad happens to be the famous German grafitti artist LOOMIT, and sure he may already happen to have an all caps name, but PAL is still a kindergartner in an actual Kindergarten (cause that’s what they’re called in Germany.) Regardless, little man got the gig and hooked up a board, binding, and helmet with his doodles and now he’s got dudes like Shayne Pospisil and Christophe Schmidt riding his shit. Wait til he’s ten. Detailed looks after the jump.
686 and New Balance went off the deep end this week by blessing 20 lucky shred heads with this insane Super Nova 3L Collection display case. Made of glass and hard wood painted to match the collection and featuring the 580 Boot, Shoe, Jacket, and New Era fitted the only people not stoked on this kit are the UPS dudes that had to deliver them, they weigh a ton! More looks after the jump.
K2 Snowboarding has a nice collabo pack this season with Michael Sieben. Known predominantly for his work in skate, the K2 x Sieben collection consists of a Jibpan board, Darko Boa Conda boot, and Auto Uprise bindings, all adorned with Sieben’s particular brand of loony character art. Available now in limited quantities at select K2 retailers. A look at the rest of the pack after the jump.
