After the rather blatant tease earlier this week, we can now confirm that Shaun White has signed a major deal with BFGoodrich tires. White will essentially be the company’s face for it’s “Consumer Experience” program and has rolled out a giant multimedia campaign called “The Upgrade,” anchored here. Considering the central theme of the campaign is how to use your tires to become a better driver, it looks like crashing that Lambo is one of the smartest moves S Dub has made yet.

Burton announced today that Mini will be taking over as the presenting sponsor of the Burton Global Open Series. Consisting of the European Open (January 8-15 in Laax, Switzerland), the Canadian Open (February 1-6 at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary), and the US Open (March 7-13 in Stratton, Vermont) the events will be used as a a marketing platform for the new Mini Countryman crossover SUV. Mini takes over from Volvo which had been the major sponsor of the series for the last several years.

Last week Radcollector had the chance to stop by the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, California for the Ken Block Invitational, Block’s namesake Gymkhana/Drifting racing event. Our homies from DC Shoes set up a ride along for editor Brad Clarke who strapped in for a practice run with none other then Ken Block himself. On to more rad as hell shit, Nike 6.0 has come up with what is by far their sickest pair of kicks yet – a Dunk tribute to the greatest car of all time, the DeLorean DMC-12. From eyestays meant to emulate the DMC’s gullwing doors to a stamp reminiscent of the Belfast factory the cars were made, to an outsole in the same colors of the Delorean’s taillights, these are nothing short of incredible.
