Opening rounds of the Real Street contest starts today. Sixteen of the world’s best street skaters submitted 60-second video parts for a shot at $50,000 and an X Games gold medal. Element has a edit showcasing the amazing talent of young skaters from all over the world at this years Element YMCA Skate Camp. Nyjah Huston, Levi Brown and more judged the contest, ultimately awarding Julian Christianson from Denver, CO top honors and Element sponsorship. The NYC stop of the Maloof Money Cup wrapped up this weekend with Greg Lutzka taking home first place and a hefty check of $160,000. Dennis Busenitz and Ryan Decenzo rounded out the top 3 with strong performances. All types of people came out to Queens for the contest including UConn guard Kemba Walker and NY Jets QB Mark Sanchez. The King of Spring event will be part of the Element Make it Count international contest series.
