Although having Snoop “DJ’ a party amounts to him having a four hour personal blunt smoking session with his laptop open on stage, it was dope as hell to have Wiz Khalifa do “Black and Yellow” live during Snoop’s personal blunt smoking session at Agenda in Anaheim last weekend.

Vans opened its new, state-of-the-art event space, the House of Vans, this past Saturday night with 900 of its closest friends in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood in an evening filled with food & drink and highlighted by surprise performances by Mos Def and Public Enemy. The House of Vans is a 25,000 square foot renovated warehouse featuring an indoor concrete bowl & outdoor street course, a permanent stage for concerts and enough space to pretty much do anything you can imagine. Nearly all of the Vans skate team was on hand including Tony Alva, Steve Caballero, John Cardiel, Geoff Rowley, Jeff Grosso, Tony Trujillo, Dustin Dollin, Omar Hassan, Anthony Van Engelen, Johnny Layton, Gilbert Crockett, Andrew Allen and Curren Caples. The opening night was epic in every sense of the word, fromk Mike Giant throwing up a piece on the back wall to John Cardiel and Tony Alva djing to start the party off. Expect a lot more from this space as Vans has staked its claim on the East Coast. Peep the event edit from Vans and an album of pics from Brad Clarke after the jump.

Last week Casio G’zOne invited Radcollector on a whitewater rafting trip to test out its new waterproof and shock resistant phone the Ravine. Trekking up to the Adirondacks and then down the Hudson River with the phone in frigid temps and driving rain, The Ravine passed every test with flying colors effortlessly taking videos and pictures and even plotting the course through the rapids and eventually to safety. Even our expert river guide Critter was amazed at the phone’s wilderness capability. Check out some snaps from the trip after the jump and a special thanks to Ansai/Mobile Warming gear who hooked us up with heating vests, they were a life saver.
