As we all know our brothers in Haiti are in the midst of tragedy due to the 7.0 earthquake that struck the country last week, and as human beings it’s our duty to help people in need. So Manik and Goods out of Seattle teamed up to make these t-shirts in an effort to get more aid and supplies to the victims in Haiti. You can purchase shirts at Goods in Seattle and Bellevue, and if you don’t live in that area and still want to help go to yele.org to make a donation.

Stoked is hands down the dopest mentoring organization in existence right now and one that we always have love for, so we were duly stoked to learn that the progeny of our 16th president, the artist known as Abe Lincoln Jr, has done a series of five posters to support the Stoked cause. Check them out, or better yet, buy one at the Poster Cause Project.

The Volcom NYC store played host to the opening of the Andy Kessler Memorial Benefit Art Show this past Saturday night. Friends and admirers of Andy’s like Geoff Rowley, Pat Conlon, Mike Zepeda, Alex Corporan and Lance Mountain showcased the artistic soul of skateboarding by donating their works for a silent auction. The evening honoring a true NYC skate legend was missing only one thing, Andy himself. More pics after the jump.

The loss of NYC skate legend Andy Kessler still hurts as much as it continues to inspire others to live life to its fullest. It’s also become a rallying point for all sorts of good works in Andy’s name. On December 12 and 13, Volcom is contributing to Andy’s legacy by hosting the Andy Kessler Memorial Art Show at their flagship store on Broadway. Full info is after the jump.

As we mentioned, the Stoked Awards went off last Thursday with an amazing display of emotion and generosity. Awards were given for Volunteer of the Year, Mentor Pair of the Year and for Achievement, with the latter going to Quiksilver CEO Bob McKnight. To top it all off, Sal Masekela got the people in the room to cough up another $20,000 on top of the $80,000 he had already generated by running the NYC Marathon this month. Check out a full recap of the evening over at ESPN. More photos of people who have helped make Stoked a success after the jump including Shut, Red Bull, Milk Studios, CCS, and Michael Orenstein who ran the marathon with Sal and made sure he finished. Good stuff.
