As part of their presence at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, which spanned across pretty much every sport in the games, Nike did something a bit different for their Snowboarding program. They commandeered The Board Room, West Van’s OG shred shop, and installed an exhibit of snowboard innovation and memorabilia that spanned four decades, dozens of riders both new skool and olde, and shit from almost every brand to touch the snow. Part two of VBS‘ history lesson with OG powder hound Noah Salasnek has just dropped. This episode tracks Salasnek’s remarkable ascent from skateboarder to freestyle snowboarder to batshit crazy big mountain line finder. One thing’s for sure, they don’t make em like this anymore.

Vans Vault held an event at Proper in Long Beach, California on Saturday to celebrate the release of the new Ray Barbee collection and to celebrate his 20 years of influence on skateboarding. In an amazingly rad display, Proper had all of Barbee’s boards from 1989 to the present including Powell-Peralta, The Firm, and his upcoming deck with Element. The Element artwork was done by none other than Sean Cliver, the man responsible for the original Barbee Ragdoll graphic. In honor of the historic 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall today, Pulp68 and Redline Films have produced this limited edition poster and are distributing it free on the streets of Berlin. Taken from their film Plaza and featuring Lucien Wampfler giving peace a chance, it’s a fitting commemoration. You can watch or download the original video in its entirety here.
