You may have noticed that we’ve been offline since Thursday. Rad Collector HQ got smacked this weekend and although we are all snow lovers, the fact that the storm knocked out internet and cable for three days did not a happy office make. While we may or may not have snuck in some turns and even broken a bone or two during the outtage we are all stoked to be back online. Praise the Interwebz! Photo by Khalid West / BLK OPS.
The Berrics Canteen has just gotten a nice re-up from SB, possibly having something to do with the fact that they share a common employee. Go here for new P-Rods, Janoski’s, and Skate Mental joints as well as Bruins, Blazers, Dunks, and more.
The final two remaining subversive voices in skate and snow media, King Shit and King Snow magazines, have just launched full print editions on their respective websites. Finally, if you are not fortunate enough to live in Canada and have been sick of waiting for issues in the mail that never come, you can hit the interwebz to catch up on everything you are missing. Full issues of King Shit can be found right here and King Snow is over here.
DC, having already pioneered the online game with their Skateboarding.tv, has launched a new online skate zine today, DC 7Zine. The site will aim to give real time behind the scenes looks into the lives of the DC skate team. Josh Kalis is bakcing it. Peep his intro video here. In a retro twist, the zine will also be printed hard copy and distributed to key DC retailers each quarter.
As part of some updates to their site, adidas Skateboarding has dropped this sick new clip, “Frisco Stand Up.” Reconfirming both the fact that SF is skate paradise and adidas has one of the sickest teams out there, the video leaves one fact with the ability to elude complete understanding, how is the Gonz still so rad? Peep the whole thing here.
01 Magazine has just dropped their photo issue online. Their 4th issue has a lot of dope stuff in it, particularly pieces with Leo Fitzpatrick, Todd Jordan, Patrick O’Dell and of course Lil Wayne. Peep the whole issue right here. Via Club Mumble.
We don’t stay reading Business Week so missed this but it’s still interesting that they picked the Skytop 2 as one of their top 25 kicks of 2009. Actually it’s interesting that Business Week picked any kicks at all, because, um, it’s Business Week. The Supreme Bruin and Vans x Huf Old Skools are on there too. Read the full piece here. The new issue of Updown has E-Man Anderson on the cover with a pretty gnarly gash in his face that has a lot of people wondering. “Hollywood magic?” The answer, of course, is heck no, they’re Canadian. So in response they’ve released this behind the cover video to set the record exactly straight. Speaking of E-Man – you can peep his part and the entire movie of This Video Sucks at either the ThirtyTwo, Stepchild, Transworld, or Onboard sites starting yesterday. The video doesn’t really suck.
Another banger from Neff today, this time in the form of their new embeddable boombox music player. Now any music starved shred blogger can embed the Neff Boombox into the back end (no homo) of their blog for an endless stream of Neff approved heat from Hyper Crush, Girl Talk, Steve Aoki, and more. Songs are skippable and the Atari graphics of the box are kinda fun to zone out on too. Get the player here.
