It’s hard to believe but Special Blend is twenty one years old already. To celebrate, they’ve released the 100 Proof Collection with some grown up cuts that demonstrate the brand’s newfound maturity. We’ll drink to that. Check out the pieces after the jump.

Chrome, a brand whose offerings get more on point with each release, have taken on the task of migrating their waterproof backpack tech to outerwear. The result is the Storm series. Consisting of the Cobra technical waterproof hoodie and the Field, a technical waterproof M85 jacket, the Storm series is specific to bike performance but not exclusive to it and can be worn in any situation requiring lightweight, waterproof functionality. Check out the intro video above and detailed shots of the product after the jump.

This past weekend Hayter Communications held an “editorial shredfest” at Stevens Pass in Washington’s Cascade Range. The idea was to bring together a select group of journalist & photographers to test out 2013’s most unique snowboard/outdoor gear from a variety of brands that included Ride Snowboards, Poler, POW Gloves, Smith Optics, Helly Hansen, Stanley, Pop Chips, Full Sail Brewing, Microsoft, Kind, Spacecraft, MTN Approach and more. Outfitted with a 1999 Fleetwood Jamboree GT RV towing two Urals and stockpiled with gear, beer & snacks the Northwest welcomed us with over 30 inches of fresh powder. Attendees included Jake Hanson (Hayter Comm), Graham Hiemstra (Cool Hunting), Craig Wetherby (TheGoodLife!), Noah Johnson (Complex), Justin Gural (Venture There), Mike Horn (Stoke Lab), and TC Worley (Gear Junkie). Our own Brad Clarke was out there in the mix and came back with a rad gallery of photos. Hit the jump to check them out.

This past week ThirtyTwo hit a major milestone with its 10th Anniversary of Boot Camp in Brighton, Utah. 32 invites went out to select retailers and media to partake in four days of shredding, partying, and clinics on the newest line of ThirtyTwo boots & outerwear. With 32 inches of snow falling, unlimited demo gear, group dinners, and a Utah Jazz game on the agenda, this was one hell of a shred trip! Our editor Brad Clarke was lucky enough to land an invite and came back with a gallery of photos. Hit the jump to see what went down.

After debuting it at SIA earlier this year, Canada Goose is getting ready to drop their new HyBridge line. The jackets and vests from this collection feature thermal mapping technology along with premium Hutterite white duck down shields over gender-specific body areas to create warmth while still ensuring flexibility and performance. In other words, these joints are tech. Take a look at all the colorways after the jump.

Although they aren’t the first brand to come to mind when we think of snowboard outerwear, O’Neill has solid set of offerings for 2011/12. This heritage jacket featuring the original O’Neill logo and a wild style colorway is one of several dope pieces. On the team side, in addition to big mountain legend Jeremy Jones, they’ve got young money getter Seb Toots who just took gold at Slopestyle at Winter X and gives them an excellent platform to continue to build on. We won’t be surprised to see some rad things from them in the future. More looks after the jump.
