Nike 6.0 has announced that they are bringing the holidays early this year with the Banksgiving BMX jam in Newark Valley, NY on October 10. Banksgiving comes as the result of Newark Valley resident Nick Marzolino’s winning entry in a Nike 6.0 custom mini-ramp contest where he detailed his community’s love of riding and their loss when local ripper Nick Wilson was killed while serving in Iraq. After hearing his story, Nike decided to turn the mini into a full fledged park and are now throwing Banksgiving to kick off the park’s construction. The park will be named Nick Wilson Memorial Park. That’s pretty dope. Event details after the jump.
