In a groundbreaking move for the skateboard industry, the day Wednesday has been given it’s own pro model by DVS. OK, it’s actually a collaborative version of the Berra 3 between Steve Berra, Giovanni Reda, and DVS to celebrate Reda’s show “Wednesday’s With Reda” on The Berrics, but it’s super rad that it just says Wednesdays on the side. Last night Home studios in Manhattan played host to the Vans x Hellz collection release party. The place was filled with sneakerheads and dime pieces alike peepin the new women’s footwear, having drinks and then having some more. Music for the night was provided by sets from DJ Elle and Roxy Cottontail. After the party? You guessed it, was the after party. If you are on the west coast, you still have plenty of time to make it to Atmosphere’s one month anniversary party for their flagship store in Portland. The Supra Skytop 2 tour hit Paris over the weekend, doubling down with the Tony Hawk Show to make Paris the world epicenter of skate for one night only. The dudes from Atmosphere, PDX’s home grown shred and lifestyle hub, celebrated the grand opening of their spanking new flagship in Portland on Friday. Atmosphere founder Chris Prosser, Steve Klotz from Manik, pro shreds Darrell Mathes and Brent Atchley, ex pro shred Casey Neefus, and crews from Nike, Burnside, Windells, Grenade, and Red Bull kicked it with other Wet Coast boldfaces and a surprising amount of girls. DC’s progressive lifestyle line, DC Life, has been pushing the design side of the brand since it’s inception. With some key collaborators and a continued sense of attention to detail, their Spring 2010 collection is being hyped as their best yet. To celebrate, DC threw down on a jammy jam with Revolve Clothing in LA last night. The Revolve flagship on Melrose was packed with industry heads and birds gettin their Hollywood on with DJ Tina T on the decks. DC Life Spring 2010 officially hits select retailers on January 1. While the Shut crew was mobbin the lower east side, the west side of town was poppin last night too with the Oakley throwdown for Tracking Eero. Eero Ettala, Jake Blauvelt, Eiki Helgason, and Tanner Hall did it up proper at the Red Bull Space with a mob of shred heads, Oakley bigwigs and Fuel camera crews while DJ Jacyeeoh turned it into a real ho-down.
