Akomplice took it to the southern hemisphere to shoot their summer 2012 look books, doing one in Brasil and the second in Medellin, Colombia. The city, once known only for its drug cartels, is now earning its rightful place amongst the world’s raddest cities. In opening up some of their archives from the 60’s Life magazine recently republished som shots from a 1965 feature on skateboarding in NYC despite the visible cues that date the photo, the multicultural component of the NYC scene looks to be reppin as hard as ever. Lets just say when you fill a hotel out with Swedes & Harlem’s finest and then give them free vodka for five hours good things are bound to happen. Vice and Oakley recently teamed up to celebrate the launch of Eric Koston’s newest Oakley signature collection and take a sneak peak at Vice’s upcoming Epicly Later’d series on the man himself. The event went down on the rooftop of the The Standard, East Village where the Blackouts provided the soundtrack and guests boozed it up during a torrential downpour.
