Burton continues the global tour for Standing Sideways with their raddest jumpoff yet, an epic premiere and afterparty in NYC. Joining forces with TheGoodLife!, Burton is bringing Terje Haakonsen, Danny Davis, Jussi Oksanen, Jack Mitrani, Kazu Kokobo, Mikkel Bang, Mark Sollors, Mikey Rencz, Ethan Deiss, and Mark McMorris to screen the film at Santos Party House before an after party featuring DJ sets by Smoke L.E.S., Jasmine Solano, Uncle Mike, Roofeeo (TV on the Radio), and Holy Ghost! Radcollector fam DJ A Dog was summoned to Europe last week to rock the party at the global premier for the new Pirate Films production Bottom Line. If you know Innsbruck, you know they gets down. Burton got their season off to a raging start with the world premiere of their new movie Standing Sideways in Denver last Thursday night. A major contingent of riders including Jussi Oksanen, Mark Sollors, Keegan Valaika, Jeremy Jones, Ethan Deiss, Mikey Rencz, Kazuhiro Kokubo, Danny Davis, Jack Mitrani, Mark McMorris, Alex Andrews and Kevin Pearce descended into town escorted by a bevy of 13 “flight attendants” decked in custom Burton kits for a screening at the Ogden Theatre and after party at Casselmans. The movie itself is a straight banger with back to back parts from the Burton global team capped off by a scene stealer from Jussi who at 32 is riding better than ever. With the Denver premier only a day away, Burton has released the final trailer for their 2011/12 video Standing Sideways. In a season overshadowed by the mega production of Art of Flight, the throwback feel and a heavy concentration of bangers are going to be a welcome foil. We’ll be on hand in Denver so stay tuned for a recap on Friday.
The stars and then some came out last night for the World Premier of Travis Rice’s opus of epic proportions: The Art of Flight. The Red Bull Media House and Brain Farm production lived up to all the hype as it was showcased in full glory at a booze and babe filled bash at NYC’s famed Beacon Theatre. Everyone from Pat Moore, John Jackson, Circe Wallace, Mark Landvik, The Mitrani brothers, Nicolas Muller and many many more were in the house (and then at the ridiculously crazy after-party) for what will live in infamy as one of illest shredtaculars in all history.
