It’s PJ Ladd day over at DC today. The Boston ripper is releasing his signature shoe, the PJ S LX, and DC is launching a mini-site dedicated to PJ to celebrate. As part of the launch for both the shoe and site, DC has hooked up with The Berrics for “Project Granite,” a contest that will have PJ doing a new trick off a solid granite ledge each week for three weeks after which Berrics viewers can submit footage of themselves being inspired by PJ. PJ will pick a winner each week before selecting a champion who will win the actual granite ledge. For more on “Project Granite,” go here. One of the dopest models from Select, the 99 Vulc comes in two different prints but definitely looks best in the one color versions. The purple and reds are available now at Skate Warehouse. Skate trainers definitely seem to be going big for ‘09 with brands like DVS and C1RCA putting out joints that can arguably hang with Nike or New Balance. You know etnies is on it too and their Lo-cut 2.5 for Fall 2009 is proof. Funky but not chunky, the black/brown/green colorway is particularly banging. The 2.5 also comes in black/white and assorted.
