Long time friends Keith Hufnagel and Ray Mate from Mighty Healthy NYC got together with DVS to work on a line of clothing and sneakers. The line consists of several apparel pieces including a reversible grey and black vest, branded T-shirts, as well as two custom colorized shoe designs—the Huf 5 Runner and the Huf 5 mid. The color scheme used in the line, according to Mate, was inspired by the colors of Xavier High School—a Jesuit school located in the Chelsea Neighborhood in Manhattan that Huf attended growing up. The product begins shipping in early November and can be found in select skate shops throughout the world.

On a side note, the interview also mentions that Huf is opening a retail outlet in Tokyo, Japan, this year. Seems like we still have to look out for that.

Here we present you the latest releases by Nike SB. For the month of October they will be coming out with a Dunk Low Pro SB, P-Rod 2, Dunk High Premium SB and a Blazer Low SB. Overall the October range is subtle and solid, something we cannot say too often about Nike SB, that usually features some more colorful styles in their collection.

The NYT reports on skate shoes in this weeks Thursday style section. A revelation to us all? Hardly. The focus is on the style over function nature of most skate footwear. The speed skaters run through sneakers. And, just what’s cool. There is brief discussion of skates influence on the now typical rapper list — NERD and Lupe. Check it out for yourself here.

FTC has been an institution in the skate retail market for a long time now. Ever since opening their first retail outlet in Japan in 2007, the shop is making big steps towards becoming a full brand. Now they got together with adidas Skateboarding to work on a sneaker and apparel.

The shoe was designed by the FTC design team of Jovontae Turner and Graham James, they came up with a unique colorway that everyone can rock. FTC will be showing the shoe in Japan first to coincide with the adidas team riders’ apperance. Tim O’ Connor, Silas Baxter-Neal, Mr Busenitz, Lem Villemin, Benny Fairfax, Dave Bachinsky, Nestor Judkins and Vince Del Valle’s will all make an appearance in the Far Eastern wing of the FTC empire on October 10th. The collab shows off the new version of the Shelltoe silhouette which has plenty of details, including its use of colors and use of paneling, some real heat for the masses. Via Crooked Tongues/FTC.

The FTC x adidas Skateboarding Superstar will release in December. The FTC San Francisco shop will be preparing for their US shoe release in DEC as well. The collab includes the Superstars, a matching hoody and a tee. Hopefully we can show you soon.

We give you a preview today of the Nike Dunk Low SB “Gold Rail”, honoring the Flinders Street Station, one of the most prominent skate spots in Melbourne.

“The shoe features canvas, suede and mesh, with the varsity royal blue apparently inspired by Port Phillip Bay and the brown midsole chosen to represent the turdish Yarra River that winds its wiggly way through our magnificent city.” Via Sneaker Freaker.

Simple looks with a great outcome. The Nike Dunk Low SB “Gold Rail” will be available as of October.

The Nike SB Dunk Mid "Moat" has been released at Dave’s Quality Meat (DQM). The shoe has been designed by The Skatepark of Tampa, and comes in a black/green colorway with red accents and a printed design on the back heel.

Nike SB is previewing their spring 2009 collection here at BRIGHT Frankfurt. With a slew of models in new patterns and colorways, the spring 2009 SB collection will surely offer something for skaters and SB fans.

We Sold Out has got the newest make up of the Adidas Superskate. Once again the shoe proves a great base for quirky art work. This model has been developed for their skater Sieben. More images after the jump. 

The collaboration of skater/artist Mark Gonzales and Adidas Skateboarding continues and they released the Doley now. A nice simple all white low top sneaker with some trademark art by Mark Gonzales.

We give you a first look at the Vans Syndicate 009 collection for Holiday ‘09. They got together with Max Schaaf, skateboarder and custom chopper builder. The pack consists of the Era and the Mountain Edition, each coming in black and red in premium leathers and canvas. As an extra goodie they made some matching rubber handle bards.
The second pack by Vans Syndicate this Holiday season will come in collaboration with Gabe Morford. More news on that soon.
