Since weed and snowboarding go together like peanut butter and chocolate, we can’t think of a collab that makes more sense. You know Deadlung’s gonna be riding dirty in these. Fresh off his double gold at X Games, Louif Paradis slid over to TheGoodLife! x Sailor Jerry Cabin to talk to Tim Brodhagen about what its like to be snowboarding’s reigning rail champ and his new show Deja Vu on Network A. While he was there, Peter Line decided to get his first tatoo, the exclusive footage is only on dose. Look out for cameos from Bun B and Stevie Bell too, cause, well, why not?

The Helgasons show no signs of ending their quest for multi-category dominance. The latest evidence is this super rad collabo between their Switchback Bindings brand and the bible of shred, Transworld Snowboarding. We’re predicting this to be the core binding of choice for 2014. Vans is really putting the “high” in Hi Standard for next season. The always rad snowboard boot is dropping in three new colors, including the smokey specimen in the middle. Check out a couple closer looks after the jump.

It was rumored forever and the team news hit last fall but as of SIA this past week, adidas gave us a solid look at what it’s going to mean for them to be in the snowboard game. Taking a cue from other sneaker brands that have done it, adidas is starting their program with heritage, taking the Samba and flipping it into a shred boot. How does it ride? A couple weeks ago the New York Times ran an article entitled “Has Snowboarding Lost it’s Edge?” which despite the corny headline, made some good points about the decline in the sport’s overall steez thanks to aging and skiers biting everything that made snowboarding rad. With this in mind we are stoked to see Arnette fighting the good fight with a rad Bad Brains collabo goggle for next season. Let’s just hope the plankers don’t get ahold of it. Straight up and down, this may be the dopest collabo coming down the pipe for next season. Burton and OG Canadian mukluk brand Manitobah have come together for the Memento boot. Totally ridable. While at TheGoodLife! x Sailor Jerry Cabin in Aspen, Tim Brodhagen caught up with Halldor Helgason for a quick dose about his gnarly Big Air crash and all of his new tattoos, including the one he got from Downtown Terry Brown right after his interview. Helgason’s are the shit.

While the X Games were raging more than a hundred thousand deep on Buttermilk Mountain a secret cabin tucked into the foothills of Ajax was where the really rad action was happening. Peter Line got his first ever tattoo while Halldor Helgason’s magic tour bus touched down for a session right before the Major Lazer girls went on a twerk fest and Bun B and his wife got matching heart tattoos. Phoenix Sun Channing Frye came through with one of the Jackass dudes and Louie Vito contained his urge to dance to the sounds of Roofeeo from TV on the Radio. This past August Snowboarder Magazine linked up with Scott Stevens, Nick Visconti, and Stevie Bell for a trip to Lesotho Africa to a small ski area called Afriski to experience snowboarding on the African continent. Yup, snowboarding in Africa! Watch and be amazed.
