All good things must come to an end. Nixon today unveiled the final piece in their delectable Fluro Rubber Player series with a nice grapefruit yellow. Hitting stores this weekend, this baby will have to keep us satisfied until they kick their next series into gear, which given the success of the past two collections, won’t be long at all. Continuing to stomp on fools with an endless stream of ill renditions of the Rubber Player, Nixon today drops a super limited collab with P-Rod his LA boutique, Primitive. The Nixon x Primitive collabo comes in a Lakers purple and gold and a sick jet black with turquoise and will only be available in-store. Primitive is located on 17060 Ventura Blvd in Encino. Can’t believe we didn’t see this coming! In a brilliant and good hearted move, Nixon has hooked up with Boarding For Breat Cancer for the latest installment of the Fluro Rubber Player – in what else? Pink. Commemorating October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a nice portion of each of these sure-to-sell-out watches will directly benefit B4BC’s mission to eradicate breast cancer through education and prevention. Nixon keeps rolling out bangers in their rubber Player series, this time with the new Fluro in green. The Ecto-Cooler colored piece should go perfect with that Slimer costume you’ve been eyeing for Halloween this year. There are still two more Fluro Rubber Players coming down the pipe so stay tuned. New kid on the watch block, Mica, has just launched their website. Coming with a pretty dope concept and some good looking hardware in their all-wood watches, Mica currently has four models, the Plank, Deck, Drift and Baron available in hand carved Black Ebony, Rosewood and Maple. Following the smash success they had with their limited edition blind packaged Rubber Player series this spring, Nixon is back at it again with the Fluro Rubber Player. Set to hit stores tomorrow, August 15, The Fluro Rubber Player is pretty much the same as the original Rubber Player but comes with a high-polish, gloss finish polyurethane band and new colors. Also like last time, the Fluro Rubber will be released each month for the next four months with the colorway held secret until release time. As you can see the first new color is orange – quite apropos for Fall. These are going for $170 at select Nixon dealers. More looks after the jump.

G-Shock’s mega bash on Wednesday night, “G-Shock The World,” had more treats than two christmases. In addition to the free flowing top shelf, endless nibblets, talent galore, and a full set by Kanyeezy, a bunch of announcements were made about G-Shock’s new action sports program. The new official team members are Stevie Williams for skate, Gabe Kling and Erica Hosseini for surf and Matt Hammer for snow. All were on hand for the party. On the product side, G-Shock announced collabo watches with Todd Jordan and Globe, adding to the In4mation, LRG and Surfriders collabos already announced.
