Next Thursday Vans is going to be turning out the thirtyninehotel in Honolulu to celebrate the release of the 3 Feet High “Half Cab” collab with Kicks/HI, DQM, and Huf. J-Rocc is headlining, Sailor Jerry is hooking up the free rum punch, and hello, it’s in Hawaii! You know this is going to be the jam. Completing a cycle that began with the brand’s recent relaunch, Ambiguous clothing dropped their new website today. In addition to an overall new look and all the usuals like product and athlete info, the site also features the Ambiguous HD online video zine which serves as a showcase for the artists and others that make up Ambiguous’ circle of friends and fam. The Shadow Conspiracy dropped their banging video “Into the Void” a couple of months ago. As a follow up, Streetphire UK just hooked up a dope interview with Johnny Devlin, who filmed and edited “Into the Void” and got him to put together a rad remix reel for them too. Clearly not content to let his Street Dreams co-star take all the plaza shine, P-Rod is opening his own skate plaza in LA this Sunday on Go Skateboarding Day. Co-designed by Joe Ciaglia of California Skateparks and Lance Mountain, the Paul Rodriguez Skate Park at Ritchie Valens Public Park in Pacoima, California is not only a mouthful, it’s meant to recreate some legendary skate spots in a legal setting. This is what P-Rod had to say about it.

“I wish I was 15 again so that I could grow up with such amazing terrain nearby,” said Rodriguez, Jr. “If you wanted to, you could film here—there is no difference between this park and a real spot. For example, the ditch at the end of the path is a re-creation of the Griffith Park run-off ditch, and the blue handrails in the plaza are replicas of the nearby Sylmar rails that are no longer skate-able.”

Emerica’s Wild in the Streets main event is going international and up to the Great White North this year. Coo roo coo coo coo coo coo coo as Bob and Doug Mackenzie would say! On June 21, 2009 aka Go Skateboarding Day, they Emerica team will be hitting Vancouver BC to benefit LeeSide, the underground DIY skatepark envisioned by heroic slain skater and artist Lee Matasi. to commemorate Lee as well as raise money for Leeside, Emerica did two tees.
