Emerica recently debuted a new pro model shoe for Braydon Szafranski, the “Braydon.” Not wasting any time flipping from the rather basic colorways that came with the Spring edition, for Fall 2009 the Braydon will come in the “Vegas” colorway. The panels on the shoe alternate between glossy photos of the strip and felt in the pattern of casino floor carpeting. You can almost feel money evaporating from your pockets just by looking at these joints. What you do in these shoes, stays in these shoes. Look for them to drop late summer.

As part of the DC Life Collection, DC and Incase have hooked up the “Strapped” pack. From the microfleece laptop sleeve to the super reinforced skate carry compartment and plush lumbar support, the dopeness of this bag almost makes up for the fact that you are carrying around your computer while skating, you nerd. A trainer style kick not built on a skate show platform, the Crook definitely pushes the diversity of Select’s more lifestyle-based offerings. And the navy/wintergreen kills it. Brooklyn artist and filmmaker, Brian Deka Paupaw, is screening his short format film Hoods to Woods tonight in NYC. Hoods to Woods is an autobiographical account of how snowboarding drastically changed Deka’s life and put him on a path not usually taken by someone out of Bed-Stuy. Dope shit.
