Nike Snowboarding has unveiled its Winter 2009/10 Collection. Although some are trying to resist Nike’s re-entrance into snowboarding, it’s pretty hard to front on these boots. Plan and simple, if you are a Nike head, you are going to need these. With a team that includes Danny Kass, Laura Hadar, Louie Vito, Eric Jackson, Justin Benee, Austin Smith and Annie Boulanger, they also have the talent to back it up. This is no ACG of the late 90’s and early 00’s. Six more boots after the jump.

Krooked Spring 2009 Decks

We take a first look at the Krooked Spring 2009 Decks. As usual they offer a nice selection and the Mark Gonzales graphics also never get old. We really like the Gonzanimals series, but the others are almost equally good.

Anyways, check out all the new boards after the jump.

Donovan Frankenreiter Collection By Billabong

30 January 2009, 21.17 | Posted in Fashion, surfing | No comments »

The Donavon Frankenreiter collection by Billabong released this spring season. Based on the duel fantasy of music and surfing, the line includes a very personal take on boardshorts, t-shirts, pants, hats and accessories. A cool new video is attached here.

“The collection embraces my surfing philosophy and the musical side of my life and everything that surrounds it, says Donavon. Its a reflection of my life over the last 15 years.”

Donavon has carved a successful career as a free-styling professional wave rider, the leading man in Fuel TVs Drive-Thu series, a surfer known for eccentric board designs, flamboyant bottom turns and a charismatic personality that has made him a one name celebrity in the surfing world who is now on the brink of music stardom. As both a surfer and a musician he has walked the fine line of a stylist with a distinctive flair for both 70s retro chic and contemporary cool. So it is not surprising that with the release of his new album, the Donavon Collection is also set to debut.

You can check out the collection now here.

nike dunk high sb yellow stars Nike Dunk High SB Glen Quagmire

Yesterday we presented to you the new Dunk Low SB and Dunk Mid Pro, here now a look at the latest Dunk High SB. It comes with a navy/red suede upper and a yellow stars all-over embroidery. The stars have a certain hand made look to themselves, which we like. The shoe is inspired by the Glen Quagmire character from Family Guy. The white/gum sole is a nice finish.

The Nike Dunk High SB is part of the Nike SB Spring 2009 collection and is now available at Sneak.

In what is perhaps the artist collab to end all collabs, Forum has teamed with the master landscape painter Bob Ross to produce the Scheme by Bob Ross. If only he were alive to paint one last stroke…RIP happy little guy. The Bob Ross collab also includes the Republic binding and Kicker boot. More looks at this amazing kit after the jump.

Yes Snowboards

img 2545 405x540 Yes Snowboards
In one of the doper stories to come out of SIA this year, pro riders JP Solberg, Romain DeMarchi and David Carrier-Porcheron have started a new snowboard company called Yes. All three had been lifetime Burton riders until some team shakeups went down this past season. Not content to jump back into the sponsor game, the three decided to pool their cumulative expertise and notoriety and create what JP Solberg says will be a “pure snowboard company.” Launching from a booth with only super limited product and zero hype, Yes has already started to place orders with some of the top snowboard shops in the world. In an interesting twist on their minimalist philosophy, Yes screenprinted their catalog on the inside of their promo tees. Stay tuned for an in depth look at a brand that will surely be making some noise in the next couple seasons. Check out a couple more looks at Yes after the jump.
