Continuing to push the boundaries of next level collabo development, Emerica has linked up with EA Skate 3 for an exclusive colorway of the Reynolds Cruiser. This tie-dye edition will be only available through your X-Box or PS3 online store. Buying kicks from a video game, that is some craze! You already know we peeped this at Agenda. A look at the custom insole after the jump.
Getting right into Agenda, one of the dopest finds there today were these new men’s canvas Dunks from Nike 6.0. Although 6.0 has flipped Dunks for ladies and youth, this is their first foray into appropriating the timeless classic into a men’s model. These are going to be a 6.0 best seller. Two more colorways after the jump.
Even with pretty much every relevant company in streetwear, skate and action sports lifestyle showing, Agenda still feels more like a big homie get together than it does hard core tradeshow and a quick look at some of the faces in the crowd today will tell you that this is where shit is popping off. Eric Koston, P-Rod, Theotis Beasley, Manny Santiago, Lizard King, and Luis Tolentino, are just a few off the heads getting it crackin in the OC this weekend. We’re on the scene with exclusive coverage of the raddest shit here. Peep some shots from the show after the jump.
A bunch of news out of The Berrics today. First of all it’s their 2nd birthday today, which seems insane considering they are the biggest online force in skateboarding in the world. That didn’t take very long, damn. The second major thing is the announcement that The Berrics have forged a particularly unique partnership with Agenda Tradeshow. It what has to be seen as the death knell for ASR, Agenda and The Berrics are opening up an entire new section dedicated to skateboarding. In a super rad twist, they are taking it a step further and using this new partnership to allign with The Berrics already aggressive mom and pop shop branding program, Berrics Unified, by funding trips to Agenda for 61 Berrics Unified retailers. That is dedication to real skateboarding and should be a major force in combatting the corporate homogenization of the sport and culture. RadCollector will be on-site at The Berrics Agenda so stay tuned for way more on that. Agenda goes down on January 8 and 9 in Huntington Beach, California.
Nike 6.0 is going so big in SoCal right now. As we mentioned a few times before, they swooped in and took over a whole motel in downtown San Clemente and turned it into the Motel No Tell, an artist and athlete-inspired respite away from the bro brah craze of the OC’s action sports event packed summer. Last week during Agenda and the US Open of Surfing, they threw down a crazy jammy jam to release the Stinkween Braata with Madsteez and Stink. All stunts were pulled out: They had lasers, a Delorean and a $36,000 sublimation machine so people could do one of a kind sublimated tees on the spot. And since kids can’t drink booze, they even had a candy room so the young’uns could tweak out on suger! Roll the video.
Italian motorsport brand Alpinestars has been poppin off in both the streetwear and action sports arenas for a minute and getting better and better at it with each collection. That being said, they are right on time with this collabo snap back with Starter for spring 2010. Part of their Apex Initiative, which includes collabos with Fatlace and Fiberops, as well as Starter, this cap is swashbuckling pinstriped dopeness and will definitely get looks from people who have no clue what Alpinestars is all about. More on the Apex Initiative coming soon. A couple more looks after the jump.
Although Hurley was busy throwing the US Open of Surfing last week, in which local ripper Brett Simpson took the crown and an unprecedented $100,000, they were also at Agenda showing off their butters boardshorts. Some more looks at the Phantom and Puerto Rico series after the jump. Buy them right here.
On the OG tip, Emerica is dropping the Rip Slip, a new model for spring 2010. Billed as the first fully skateable slip-on loafer, this is the perfect kick for pushing to the store for 40’s and blunts and then coming right back to the beanbag chair without having to put back on your house shoes. There is a rumor that Snoop commissioned his own special pair after seeing these. Stay tuned for more on that. Two other colors after the jump.
Emerica has another green banger in the spring 2010 Braydon Hi “Agassi.” It’s not hard to see where Braydon Szafranski got the influence for this new colorway, but it will be interesting to see if he backs it up with some cut off jean shorts and a bleached mullet.
Shake Junt was gettin it in all over Agenda, here they are taking over some real estate in the Sole Tech suite with the Emerica x Shake Junt G Code. Bryan Herman’s pro model debuts in Spring 2010 in a gang of fly colors but none as flossed as the green and black. Says “Wassup Haters” on the back. Studio photography for all the G-Code’s coming soon.
