Damn. It’s hard to comprehend but an activity that can still get you arrested in parts of the country is being celebrated at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. You’ve got to give it up to Spike Jonze. He and Patrick O’Dell have pulled off a major one with “An Evening of Skate Videos” at the MoMa. Promising to feature “influential skate flicks from the 1980s to today” and including panel discussions and a rock show, “An Evening…” is nothing short of a remarkable achievement. It’s also completely sold out. Luckily, Altamont is sponsoring the whole thing as well as providing the band (No Age) and are giving you the chance to score some seats. Alls you gotta do is go here to try to get them. Good luck! Full event info after the jump.

Last night, NY’s skate, art, and hardcore scenes collided at the Altamont space for Boogie’s “The Best of Times” show featuring the legendary Murphy’s Law. It had everything a party with these three entities should have: tons of beer, sick photography, and murder in the mosh pits. Murphy’s Law played right on the floor in a basement that felt like it might run out of air at any moment – it was classic NYHC. Shut, Supreme, Frank151, DMS, DQM, LTD, Invisible, and more were in the building. Full photo recap after the jump.
