Last night the TWS Awards went down with all the usual mayhem: booze, boobs, and sick, sick skating. Sean Malto took best rook, AVM snagged best video part for Mind Field and Chris Cole took the readers’ choice. Alien Workshop has just dropped some new tech for Spring 2009. The Moonpop series was tested over the last two decades in strict secrecy with both NASA and the Russian Federal Space Agency in an effort to introduce a carbon fiber inlay to an organic 7 ply maple board and still retain the original board feel and weight. Did they succeed? You’ll just have to find out for yourself. Moonpop is available in pro models from Arto Saari, Dylan Rieder, Anthony Van Engelen, Jason Dill, and Josh Kalis. To the moon!
