At the beginning of last month, we told you about the super rad Converse Fix to Ride event popping off in Rio to benefit the famous Arpoador Bowl. Well it went off huge and the Brasilian skate program Skate Paradise has put together a sick segment about the day. Most of it is in Portuguese but Rune Glifberg’s parts are all in English so you should be able to follow along well enough.

One of the world’s raddest, yet long suffering bowls, is on the verge of a comeback. Following an organic movement that included petitions and other campaigning, Arpoador bowl overlooking Ipanema beach is getting a helping hand from Converse. They are hosting the Fix to Ride competition on September 12 and 13 in an effort to restore the bowl to it’s former glory. After a hefty investment by Converse, 40 invited skaters will get down on a jam format contest that should prove to be the first of many more to come at this resurrected spot.
