Axion keeps making steady moves and had an even bigger presence at Agenda that included some apparel and team members like Manny Santiago and Javier Nunez. Their standout silhouette, the Mandela, has been expanded in both colors and fabrications for fall including the leather “Gucci” model above and a blue and grey canvas model in addition to the purple suede. With Axion finally hitting the streets again, the strength of their team is going to go a long way in determining their success. Their latest addition, Manny Santiago, joins Anthony Williams, Kyle Nicholson, Kevin Taylor and super OG Javier Nunez to give the team a nice rounded out steez with what Axion’s Mirko Mangum describes as “a positve mental attitude with smiles and good times for everyone around.” RadCollector linked up with Manny to talk about how he connected with Axion and what he’s got jumping off next. Here’s a super sneak peek at the new Axion Liberty, a high top due to release for Fall 2010. In addition to the purple/black, the Liberty will come in a throwback black/teal/red colorway super reminiscent of those mid-nineties good ol days. We’ll have more from Axion in good time.

A lot of heads are patiently waiting on Axion’s jump back into the game and anticipating the return of a favorite long lost brand. While most of the speculation is focused on the kicks, they’ve just dropped some solid tees that should keep people piqued until the shoes hit. These joints are available now at Robust Flavor. Here we have a nice hi quality sneak peek at the Axion Spring 2010 Nino in Navy/White. A blend of Nubuck and leather, the Nino looks like’s its going to be mad comfy to skate it. Hopefully, we’ll check out some samples soon.

There’s been rumors back and forth about this for years, but it is official, Axion is back in the game for Holiday 2009. A solid brand when they were poppin in the 90’s it will be interesting to see how they do this time around with C1RCA at the helm. They are keeping it pretty misty and only had one shoe on display at Agenda, the Mandela, and it was a pretty early sample but was definitely looking good.
