Alex Corporan and Billy Rohan’s Halloween Hellraiser went off yesterday during a brief reprieve from NYC’s persistently shitty weather. The Open Road Roof at the New Design High School drew both groms and legends in pursuit of 3G’s in prizes. At the end of it all everyone was a winner as the kids grabbed cash at every feature while OG’s like Harry Jumonji and Derek Rinaldi showed them that skating stays with you for life. It’s that time of year again. Billy Rohan and Alex Corporan are back on November 1 for round two of the Halloween Hellraiser Best Trick Contest. Held at the sickest of venues, the roof of the New Design High School, now called the Open Road roof and sponsored by every brand that matters (Shut, Supreme, Nike SB, 5Boro, Krooked, Autumn, and CCS to name a few) Hellraiser and it’s $3000 purse is looked more looked forward to than Christmas in NYC. NYC Skate scene kingpin Billy Rohan took a trip down to DC over the weekend to attempt to entice President Obama into a game of skate. Obama didn’t show to throw down his presidential manny to kickflip but it did make for some rad pictures. Via The Skateboard Mag.

Spring is officially here and skateboarders in NYC can finally hit the streets again. To kick off skate season Alex Corporan and Billy Rohan are hosting the King of Spring Skateboard Showdown as part of the NYC Parks and Recreation’s Street Games 2009. A best trick contest with $3000 worth of prize money, the King of Spring is going down at Thomas Jefferson Park in Harlem on April 18. From Supreme to Shut to Vans, about 20 companies have thrown in their support. Full info after the jump.
