No one does it like Nike. To commemorate the premiere of their wakeskate movie Aquafrolics, Nike 6.0 made a super limited Prom Pack to go with the 80’s prom theme of the Aquafrolics premiere after-party in Orlando this past weekend. Coming in a traditional flower box, the prom pack included limited edition Braata’s with piano key foxing, a tuxedo satin and leather upper and a custom footbed with the Aquafrolic premier date printed on it, a faux red rose boutonniere, and a Nike 6.0 tuxedo tee. We showed you the ill Madsteez x Stink Nike 6.0 Stinkween Braata last week, now check out how this creation came to life in this video featuring both Mark Madsteez and Evan “Stink” Rossel and their collabed character creation “StinkWeen” which is itself “a fusion of Madsteez’s scrappy cartoon self-portrait “Weeneze” and a mischievous alter-ego doodle by Stink.” After you peep the vid, head over to Stinkween.com and enter your own Stinkween-inspired character to win a hand-painted portrait of yourself done by Madsteez himself. In a complete takeover, Madsteez will also be down in Huntington Beach, California this week painting three murals at Jack’s Surfboards just in time for both the US Open of Surfing and the shoe release on July 24 at both Jacks and the Motel NoTell.

Nike 6.0 has another rad limited edition kick coming down the pipe. This time it’s their new Braata model hooked up by the artist Mark Paul Deren (a.k.a. Madsteez) and his protege Evan “Stink” Rossell. Done up in an electric green, purple, yellow, and black with glow in the dark laces and a clear sole laid over custom artwork by Madsteez and Stink, the Stinkween Braata will hit in super limited quantities right in time of the US Open of Surfing. This July, Nike 6.0 will introduce the Braata, a skateable boatshoe-inspired kick clearly trickled down from Stefan Janoski’s SB model. Coming in a mix of pop colors for both men and women, the Braata also comes strapped with a tech package that includes “Nike Free,” foot feel, a gusseted tongue and a sockliner. The whole thing was produced using a “cold wrap” technique which eliminates certain chemicals from the manufacturing process making it better for mama earth. The Braata will go for about 68 bones.
