Another exclusive from Burton is this first look at the Burton x Paul Smith Vapor for 2011. From Futura in 2009 to Basquiat in 2010 to Paul Smith for 2011, it’s going to be interesting to see where Burton takes their flagship board from here. A couple more shots after the jump.

Burton Meat Eaters Collection

meat1 Burton Meat Eaters Collection
Burton also gave Rad Collector the exclusive first look at their sick Meat Eaters Collection. Done completely on the low and so limited that only a handful of core shops will have them, the Meat Eaters Collection was housed in a bloody red stuffed-bear strewn closet accessible to most only through the peephole above. We got inside to check out the Board Amazing, which comes with two-dimensional bindings already on the board and a Truth sticker that never comes off, the Sweet Talker, a gnarly “I don’t give a fuck” board, and the Road Soda collabo with Cheech and Chong, which might just be the best snowboard graphic of the year. A couple more looks after the jump.

alex1 Burton Heritage Collection
Back to the snow side of things, Burton gave Rad Collector the exclusive sneak peek at their new high-end Heritage Collection at SIA. Designed by Alex Dymond of Starks, who also did the upcoming Starks x Burton Hail boot, the collection combines the refinement seen in the Mark XIII line flipped to a heavily Vermont x New York-inspired set of jackets, vests, and rideable denim. We’ll have the full collection soon, for now check out some detail shots after the jump.

Burton 2010 US Olympic Uniforms

Rad Collector - Burton 2010 US Olympic Uniforms
Burton unveiled the 2010 US Olympic Snowboard Team uniform at their flagship store in NYC last night. The mellow yet patriotic red, white and blue plaid over denim jacket and pant combo will certainly have every other winter Olympic athlete wondering why the hell they didn’t take up snowboarding instead of whatever lame sport they are doing, while the Gore-Tex fabric should keep the team dry in Vancouver’s notoriously wet, heavy snow. More looks at the uniform after the jump.

Burton x Warhol x Basquiat | Vapor

Rad Collector - Burton x Warhol x Basquiat Vapor
Last year the Burton x Futura Vapor was one of the most hyped snowboards of the year. That’s the power of Futura within the hype machine. This year, the Vapor has been considerably less hyped but undeservedly so. The board itself is once again NASA-grade tech, dipped in $1200 worth of Vaporskin Lite, and the shred stick that is going to win Kevin Pearce a gold medal at the Olympics in Vancouver. What’s been largely overlooked, though, is the fact that the 2010 Vapor features a graphic derived from a collaborative Andy Warhol x Jean-Michel Basquiat piece. See, now it’s a collector’s item. Available now at Burton flagship stores in LA, NY, Chicago, and Burlington.

The air in LA might still be balmy but heads are going to be thinking shred this Thursday for the premiere of Burton’s new film, The B.
