Pete Williams posted on the skate application PUSH that Nokia is working on that connects your phone to your skateboard to integrate real life tricks into a video game / social media platform. As if that wasn’t sick enough, Nokia’s linked with Burton for a snowboard version of the tech. The future is gonna be so ill.

We brought you the exclusive first look at the Burton x Starks Hail boot back at SIA in January. The boot has been updated since the sample we previewed and has just dropped at Burton flagships and select retailers. We caught up with Alex Dymond, who designed the boot, for a little background behind the collab. Read the interview after the jump.

Not content to stop with the MTTM dinner, Burton took it up another level for Fashion Week NYC with their first ever Fashion’s Night Out party at the flagship store in SoHo. Shreds, models, weirdos, party animals and more models joined Jake Burton and familia for what has to have been the sexiest snowboard party ever held. Even Bob Marley’s son Rohan was in the house. Music by MSB, Florencia Galarza, ELI and a PBR x Sailor Jerry x Meatball Shop hospitality combo plus outdoor mini-ramp made the half block long line a small price to pay. Burton is popping off some hot shit this week with dual parties in both LA and NYC as part of Fashion’s Night Out. Essentially one giant city-wide block party, Fashion’s Night Out is an open to the public affair featuring events at retail locations across Los Angeles and New York City. Expect the Burton parties to be the opposite of most of the stuffier fashion parties in both cities although with the NYC event featuring model DJ’s Forencia Galarza and ELI as well as model magnet DJ’s Paul Sevigny and MSB, there’s guaranteed to be a hot crowd in the building. You know winter is right around the corner because Burton has just launched its completely re-designed website burton.com and released the 2011 Burton Catalog. The new site will have extensive team rider info, updates and profiles and the ability to connect to a global rider network, to exact coordinates of your local snowboard shop and live info from local mountains. Its still hot out but never too early to be prepared.

The marketers working on the new TRON movie coming out in December are going to strike nerd gold even if the films sucks. They’ve just announced that they are dropping collabs with adidas, Hurley, Oakley and Burton, whose boot is above. TRON Boot, yeah we’d ride it. Via Boardistan/StitchKingdom.
