Burton’s premiere tour for The B is coming through to NY and they are poppin off a party at the SoHo flagship. On October 14, Shaun White, Mads Jonsson, Freddie Kalbermatten, Kevin Pearce, Jussi Oksanen, Kelly Clark, and Hannah Teter will all be in the building while Burlington’s finest DJ A_Dog holds it down on the ones and twos. Burton’s parties in the city are some of the sickest so plan accordingly.
The air in LA might still be balmy but heads are going to be thinking shred this Thursday for the premiere of Burton’s new film, The B. On October 1 from 6-10 the roof of the Burton store on Melrose will have the Burton global team signing autographs, a session on the mini, a screening of the flick, mad food and drinks, and then a live performance by Really Addictive Sound. All of this is sure to be followed by a massive group chant for early snow. Space will definitely be tight so rsvp asap, ok? Full info after the jump.
Burton keeps coming with the hot shit. Hey it’s almost October, what do you expect? Dropping next is the butterific Vice Mitt. Not a collabo with the mag, the Vice Mitt is rather a mitt of all mitts that not only keeps your hands toasty but also conceals your favorite on-mountain vice, get it? The graphic above should be a hint but if you still haven’t figured it out, hit the jump. Then run to one of the Burton flagships stores and hope you can get your hands on a pair.
Burton took a pretty rad approach with their beanie presentation for this year’s catalog. Flipping the switch on both regular rider shots and mannequins, they combined the two into some pretty bugged out pseudo-dummies starring their team. You’ve got Terje, Keegan Valaika, Kim Rune Hansen, Marko Grilic, Mads Jonsson, Mark Sollars, Jussi Oksanen, Chris Sorman, Stephan Maurer and Kazu Kokubo’s decapitated and cryogenically frozen-looking dome pieces laced with Burton’s 2010 beanie line. And the beanies look pretty dope too. They are all out now at Burton flagship stores. Check out the rest of the heads after the jump.
With summer now actually over, it’s funny how quick that nip gets back in the air. Where’s the global warming at huh? It’s all good though, cause fall coat season means extra flossin plus you don’t have to stuff your phone, iPod, Blackberry, keys, wallet, and gum into your two front jeans pockets anymore. Towards that end, peep the Booth Team Jacket from Burton’s Restricted line. Old school Starter jacket styling plus some dope color ways including a mesmerizing blue arctic tiger print will have you forgetting you even liked summer at all. Available now at Burton flagship stores in LA, Chi-town, NYC, and Burlington. Check out all the colors after the jump.
This Sunday Analog and Alien Workshop, along with Gravis and Thrasher are linking up for a roof top BBQ at the Burton Store on Melrose. Beers, burgers and rooftop shredding are on the menu. Hit the jump for full info.
As part of their ill Private Stock project, which kicked off last season with Ron English, Burton has linked up with elusive cult hero R. Crumb for the new Fritz the Cat Twin V Rocker board. Definitely a collector’s piece, the board retails for a mellow $399 so don’t expect it to last long at retail. Speaking of that, you may have to hunt a bit, only 100 retailers along with the flagship stores in NY, LA and the Chi will have these.
You have to respect this kid. The more haters Shaun White picks up, the way more iller his bag of tricks becomes. He really is on some Obi-Wan “strike me down and I shall become more powerful than you could ever imagine” shit. Check him out diabolically murdering the Burton New Zealand Open this past weekend with back to back double cork spins and then go back to perfect Spicoli-esque nonchalance for the post run interview. His Jedi is on point, there’s no argument about that. Via TTR.
Transworld Snowboarding has just posted a bunch of dope teasers for their Team Shoot Out battle series. Go here to peep Burton Women’s at Snowmass, Rome SDS at Bear Mountain, DC at Northstar, and Forum at Sierra at Tahoe (above).
The illest summer bag out there by a long shot, Burton’s Lil’ Buddy has two new colorways for Summer that have just landed at the Burton flagship stores in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. If you have one of these from summer’s past, you know, the cooler/stereo speaker/goodie stash combo is impossible to beat. Both the mod “Clash” colorway (above) and the classic “400 Plaid” go for $59.99 and are in stock now. For more store info go here. Check out the other Buddy after the jump.
