If you’ve been paying attention, you know DC went huge for the X Games this year with the sickest roll out of their Gold Standard program yet. Every night something was popping and the Standard Downtown was packed to the back with DC athletes and a million ways for them to be entertained from gifting suites to spa treatments. On top of that, DC athletes held it down at X with Danny Way taking gold in the Big Air Rail Jam, Chad Kagy and Dave Mirra holding down silver and bronze respectively in BMX Big Air, Ricky Carmichael and Ronnie Renner tying for gold in the Moto X Step Up, Kagy coming in again for the bronze in BMX Vert, Nate Adams taking bronze in Moto X, and Travis Pastrana knocking out a silver in Rally Car Racing.
