This summer, legendary skate photog Mike Blabac is releasing BLABAC PHOTO – The Art of Skateboarding Photography with powerHouse Books. To commemorate this achievement and to thank him for a decade of work as the exclusive skate photographer for the brand, DC is releasing the Blabac Azure Mid shoe.

Blabac has captured some of modern skatebaording’s most epic moments including Danny Way’s jump over the Great Wall of China. BLABAC PHOTO also includes works by J. Grant Brittain (Director of Photography, The Skateboard Mag), Dave Swift (Editorial Director, The Skateboard Mag), Jake Phelps (Editor, Thrasher), Scott Johnston (Shoe Designer, Lakai), Aaron Meza (Visual Media Marketing Manager, Girl Skateboards), Ken Block (Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer, DC), and Skin Phillips (Editor-in-Chief, TransWorld SKATEboarding).

The Blabac Azure Mid includes details like photo-printed insoles and a signed Blabac photo print in a limited number of boxes. This is the first sig model DC has ever made with a non team member. DC and KCDC are getting together for a little bit of Carnage on April 19th. The first 40 skaters to register will have the chance to go balls out on the famous KCDC mini ramp for a quick five hundred bones. Sounds like a plan, right? Full info after the jump.

Rob Dyrdek, who also launched a new website this month, will be on hand to open the Lafayette Safe Spot Skate Spot in LA today. Rob will be joined by Andrew Pudzer, CEO of CKE Restaurants aka Carl Jr’s who paid for the spot, as well as the DC Skate Team: Colin McKay, Ryan Smith, Lindsey Robertson, PJ Ladd, Greg Myers, Marquise Henry, Wes Kremer, and Josh Kalis. Jessup Griptape and DC have gotten together for a DC branded griptape collaboration. Featuring various screen-printed DC logo styles and coming in a co-branded custom designed box, the DC x Jessup griptape will be available exclusively through DC. Guess who’s bizack?! Rob Dyrdek will be returning to MTV this Sunday, February 8th, with his all new MTV reality show “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory.” Picking up where “Rob and Big” left off, “Fantasy Factory” will center around Dyrdek’s top secret Dyrdek Enterprises headquarters and the various hustles Dyrdek is involved with including developing his own line for DC, starting a toy company and building his own indoor skate plaza. Expect cameos from Ken Block, Danny Way, Lindsey Robertson and a host of Dyrdekian supporting cast members. The first episode of “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory” airs this Sunday at 9pm EST/PST.
