This doesn’t seem like enough evidence to confirm anything yet, but according to Ferrari Murakami Koston has officially made the switch to SB. Here’s the shot of his text message that “proves” it. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens next!
Eric Koston just did a First Try Fridays segment with Wieger Van Wageningen and stoked the flames of the debate as to his new shoe sponsor by wearing bags over his kicks. Sneaky, sneaky! Who sponsors Wieger though? Hmmm. Via Ferrari Murakami.
In what is starting to seem like illuminati machinations, Lakai has chosen to show us all the final Koston 1 which was to be released for Fall but now will never be, except in the hands of some clearly Masonic Lakai bigwigs. How they gonna do us like that? Word is, Obama may join the cause to get these things made, he especially likes the purps. Black and red after the jump. via CtotheJL.
The blogosphere is all a-Twitter today with the release of the above photo of Eric Koston rocking a pair of Nikes. Does this mean he’s on SB? A lot of people think so. It actually looks like everyone is Tweeting in this pic although it came via Felix Arguelles.
Girl Skateboards Art Director Andy Jenkins has created another set of skateboards for Product (RED), the global effort to eliminate AIDS in Africa, this time in collaboration with Mike Carroll. Jenkins’ previous Product (RED) collabo was a set of two decks with Eric Koston in 2007. Again, both boards combine to complete the Girl logo inside the (RED) embrace. With every board sold, Girl gives a majority of its profits to the Global Fund. Support by buying one or both now at the Product (RED) site. Take a look at the Koston decks after the jump. Eric Koston leaves Lakai? Well, rumors are spread and this funny press conference video by Lakai might be a late April Fool’s… but it’s not as the Lakai page states. So far, there’s no information on where Eric is heading. Possibly he’s joining his Berrics-buddy Steve Berra on DVS, possibly he’s not and starting his own company. But one thing is for sure – Koston won’t be sponsorless for more than a few days. We’ll keep you updated.
