Although you might want to hold off in the baby making department until after we see what this Mayan doomsday prediction is all about, it would probably be a good idea to stash a couple of these new joints from Pierre Andre Senizergues’ latest PAS collection, The 6th Element, in your safe room. The Revolution (white), Reflection (silver), and Evolution (brown) kicks are meant to convey periods of passage in Pierre’s life and all come with a matching version for junior. Can we all just say awww. Closeup looks after the jump.
Also at Agenda (there was mad product there!) etnies dropped a look at their next collaborative shoe with JP Walker. Switching silhouettes from the Screw to the RVM, the new kick got the rasta treatment as a blessing to Jah inspired by JP’s love of reggae music.
For the second collaboration between the Razo bros’ Verte brand and etnies, they chose to go in the opposite direction of their all-black first collection. This time around Tino and Marc customized an etnies Jameson 2 in a very NYC-inspired concrete color. Then they added turquoise accents and sole to give it a bit more pop. The shoe also features Verte etching on the back as well as branding on the tongue and side panel. We’ll have more on this Agenda exclusive closer to the release date. Another look after the jump.
What would happen if you took JP Walker, Simon Chamberlain, Cris Bradshaw, Joe Sexton, Johnny Miller, Scott Stevens, Chris Grenier, Ben Bilocq, Nima Jalali, and Chris Beresford and gave them their own private park at Bear Mountain. You’d have the Bearics. Go here for more.
Here’s a little feel good for the holidaze. Check out Ryan Sheckler, Mikey Taylor, Kyle Leeper, Sean Malto, Jose Rojo and Davis Torgerson helping etnies CEO Pierre André Senizergues hook up some kicks for the kids of Orange County.
Aww man, Colt 45 has come a long way since Billy Dee. You may have heard about the super limited Colt 45 x etnies collabo shoe a lil while back, but you probably didn’t get a pair in the mail complete with a tall boy 45 in the box. That’s classic! More looks at the collabo in its element after the jump.
Following the footsteps of the Nike 6.0 Motel Notell in San Clemente this summer, etnies has gone in on a telly of their own. Although only a room as opposed to an entire motel, the etnies room at the Casa Del Camino Hotel in Laguna Beach, California, is everything you’d expect out of the brilliant minds of Pierre Andre Senizergues and Don Brown. Opening this weekend, the room features a sink shaped like the Orange County skate spot Chicken’s Pool, a shoe scrap headboard with a 6’ x 11’ mosaic of scraps materials from etnies kicks, a reversed shadow box wheel mirror, a skate free mini bar with 4 completes that guests can use to shred Laguna on, “Graffiti Malibu” art piece by Parvez Taj and a piece by Mike Manzoori’s titled “It’s Not Where You’re Going, It’s How You Get There.” And of course, all the furniture is from Skate Study House. The room is available for rent starting tonight. Call 888-367-5232 for reservations. More pics after the jump.
In honor of the descending shred season, etnies has released a special edition of the Screw designed with JP Walker. Featuring a slimmer silhouette and water-resistant materials, the JP Walker Screw also replaces Pierre Andre ’s K.O. Man graphic from the original Screw with the logo from JP’s secret SPOT on the tongue, footbed and outer heel panel. A couple close-ups of JP’s logo as well as the original for comparison after the jump.
Next up from the etnies artist series are the “Spots” and “Horseplay” tees by photographer Oliver Barton. “Spots” is a montage of, you guessed it, skate spots, and “Horseplay” is Sean Malto and Mikey Taylor doing what they do best. Look for these to hit retailers soon.
etnies has just announced some dope collabo tees for Holiday 09. First up are two shirts by Dave Kinsey, “Jimmy” and “Elephant.” etnies’ goal with these tees is to “expose art to cops chasing you, liquor store clerks, commuters on the subway and bus, bartenders, teachers, friends and anybody else who crosses your path.” Word to that.
