etnies, who have been on the forefront of the Green movement since day one, have stepped it up once again with their “Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree” project in Costa Rica. For every pair of Jameson 2 Eco’s sold, etnies will plant a tree in the Maleku reserve in northern Costa Rica, with the goal being to plant at least 35,000 trees to start a new thriving rainforest. The Etnies squad cruises into Phoenix in episode ten of KOTR. Malto and Sheckler get things moving in this installment with some help from their special guest Elissa Steamer.

etnies has just announced the expansion of their skatepark in Lake Forest, California. The 16,000 square foot addition will bring the park to 60,000 total square feet and make it the biggest free skatepark in the US. In other words, time to move to Cali. Check out a rendering of the SITE Design x Caifornia Skateparks addition after the jump. The new section should be skateable by mid July.

Also in the boot zone, we liked this hiker/skateshoe hybrid from etnies called the Waysayer. Coming as part of the brand’s Skyline collection, the three colorways can be seen after the jump.

Our favorite new etnies model was back at Agenda today. The Lurker, and its slightly higher end LX cousin have some new colorways coming down the pipe for fall. Peep them after the jump.

If you are a student of skate kicks you may remember a short lived venture from etnies called Sheep Shoes. Well word on the farm is that they are about to be baaaaack.

etnies has an awesome new feature on their site from their recent team expedition to Montreal, Canada. In addition to doing some rad skating all over the city, Sean Malto, Dillon Aguilar, Josh Clark and JS Lapierre learned that not all Canucks are super friendly. Peep some fight footage here.

Following her recent collab with Swatch, Swiss miss Anne-Flore Marxer continues her charge into the 2011 season with the announcement that’s she’s on both ThirtyTwo and etnies starting immediately. She joins Danny Larsen, Markus Malin, Ville Paumola, Steve Gruber, and Kareem El Rafie on Sole Tech’s European snow team, a good look for all. Via BroBlog.
