The rain held off like a mofo for the Radcollector x etnies x LTD rooftop BBQ on Friday and not surprisingly shit popped off lovely. Friends from ESPN, Frank151, Nike, Burton, SHUT, Supreme, LRG, Shamele$$, Trouble & Bass, 10Deep, Village Slum, Mighty Healthy, Stoked Mentoring, StyleSite, Madbury Club and more joined the Radcollector, etnies and LTD fam for Coronas, Tanteo, and an endless supply of meat on the grill. To mark the occasion of birthdays from the respective editor in chiefs of both Radcollector and LTD, etnies is hosting a rooftop BBQ at their Soho space today. With drinks provided by Corona and Tanteo Tequila and an open grill, its gonna be the perfect end to a sweltering week in the city. Stay tuned for a photo recap when we all recover.

We brought you the first look at the dope first ever collab between etnies and Chocolate for Devine Calloway at Agenda, now we have a look at the accompanying skateboard. As a follow up to the Ed Banger x etnies “Ednies” collabo, the two brands have launched “Ed Banger 7″ a web documentary series in seven parts that debuted today. There’s a new video every day for the next week following around Justice, Uffie, Busy P, DJ Medhi, SoMe, Sebastian, Breakbot and Feadz and they celebrate Ed Banger’s 7 year anniversary.
Rob Dyrdek continues to wrangle all the top talent in the skate world for his Street League experiment with etnies today announcing that Ryan Sheckler, Mikey Taylor and Sean Malto have all signed exclusive contracts to compete in the three scheduled Street League events. Sheckler’s mainstream popularity is certainly not gonna hurt, how many other skateboarders can get a posse of sorority pledges whipped into a frenzy? The confirmed Street League events are August 28th at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona, September 11th at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California, and September 25th at Thomas & Mack Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
etnies and Electronic Arts have combined again to blur the lines between fantasy and reality with their in-game/real life collabo for EA Skate 3. Not only will the etnies GvR contest be featured in Skate 3’s storyline again but a collaborative version of the Jameson 2 will be available both as an unlockable shoe in game and a buyable shoe exclusively at Zumiez.

We got the exclusive sneak peek at etnies latest collabo with Dave Ortiz’s Squishy NYC line and the Lower East Side bar Epsteins. The shirt and shoe combo was designed by artist Pat Conlon and is a cool tribute to LES skate life and an affirmation that Squishy is the most famous dog in NYC. Peep some looks after the jump.
etnies continues to support Canadian skateboarding’s hardest workers with the 6th installment of the “AM Getting Paid” contest, the big check Amateur contest started by Underworld in 2004. This year the contest will incorporate 6 qualifier events across Canada before the final on September 24-26 at Le TAZ skatepark in Montreal. Check the full qualifier schedule after the jump.
