IPATH has another nice release in the pipes, the Mantis. Clearly influenced by the Grasshopper, the Mantis also pulls heritage from the Fred Gall pro model with a removable ankle strap and the Darius with its vulcanized sole. Look for the Mantis to drop as part of the Holiday 09 delivery. More info and looks at another colorway coming soon.

IPATH has just released some looks at the latest incarnations of the Kenny Reed pro model, a nice hunter green suede and an all-hemp “Rasta” for fall 09. In conjunction they are running a contest to give away five pairs of Reeds to the person who thinks up the best caption for a photo of Kenny on one of his travels. Go here to give it a shot. Caraca! As part of their select Team Edition program for Summer 09, IPATH has created the Santoor Brasil to represent their Brasilian skate team. The Santoor Brasil is somewhere between a low and a mid, has triple stitched toe areas for extra durability, and Cupsole construction with a combination hemp and synthetic suede upper in the classic Canarinho color way. IPATH has released the Darius, a nice clean, skateable chill shoe with a definite nautical inspiration with a bit of almost western-style stitching. The green/beige/pinstripe hemp is above, the grey/black suede is after the jump.

IPATH has just released some new footage of Richie Jackson doing some insane shit in Australia. Some people can’t get past his hippie style, which is crazy because he is on another level of skating. This clip was edited by Richie himself.

For Spring 2009 IPATH is dropping a new model called the Nu. The Nu is available in hemp as well as in the suede/mesh Jack Sabback pro model. A low profile cupsole built for skating but good for chilling, both models feature IPATH’s signature stash pocket for, um…keys. You can order the NU here. A look at the Sabback model after the jump.

This fall IPATH is dropping a new shoe from one of their most respected team riders, New Jersey’s own Fred Gall.  Fred’s first pro-model on IPATH, the new mid-top shoe comes in three color-ways (green, black and cream), features a vulcanized outsole and incorporates a mix of sustainable materials into the upper (including a hemp ankle strap) and Fred’s Jersey Devil logo on the tongue. The hemp ankle strap especially on the black one looks great and makes a nice contrast.
Like all IPATH’s, these kicks feature stash pockets underneath the tongues, so you can stash things worth stashing.If you’re not up on Fred, just search YouTube to check out what one of the East Coast’s best skaters has to offer.
