We’ve reached a point in time where every company says to themselves “hey why don’t we make an iPhone case?” It’s ridiculous and perfectly on point at the same time, that’s just the days we’re living in. At least some brands do it right like Penny with their new series for the iPhone 4. Available now. Another look after the jump.
Incase linked up recently with NYC film collective Ghost Robot for a series of viral ads for their iPhone covers. This one involving iPhone 3GS’s being strapped to toy rockets and launched with the video camera turned on is slightly on the artsy side but a dope concept and video nonetheless.
Even though it would seem like Incase has the iPhone case game on lock, there is apparently still some room in the field. Uncommon has come out of the gate swinging and gotten Todd Bratrud to get down with their program along with other heavyweights like Boogie and Thrasher Magazine. Peep all 9 of Bratrud’s designs here. Via Club Mumble.
After dropping one of the most successful apps in the snow industry last year, The North Face has upgraded their Snow Report app for the 2010 season. With a new aggregation feature, the app now combines up to the minute weather and conditions reports with real time resort-specific Twitter feeds to tell you everything about almost any mountain on the earth any time you want. The only thing it doesn’t do is shred for you. Cop it for free right here.
Go Sk8, a new iPhone app that simulates a game of S.K.A.T.E. has just launched in the iTunes store. If you’d rather hang out on your phone rather than actually skate, you can play ledge, manual, transistion, and flat-ground versions with the challenges chosen by a “trick wheel.” Interestingly, Danny Gonzalez is the spokesman for this app, that was a smooth transition! Go here to download for $1.99. Via Skateboarder Mag.
In more news from Vans, they have thrown their gauntlet into the iPhone video game arena with the release of Vans Sk8: Pool Service. Available at the iTunes store and compatible with both iPhone and iPod Touch, Vans Sk8: Pool Service puts you behind Buck Lasek and Omar Hassan as they cruise for abandoned pools to shred. The 3D games uses iPhone’s accelerometer and multi-touch functions and is customizable in almost every way. Overall, the gameplay looks pretty sick and will end up being another reason why you can’t seem to get any work done, plus at $4.99 it beats the hell out of any $60 PS3 game! Full features after the jump.

As though you did not see it coming. The much speculated (rumors seem well on target)
Apple 3G iPhone has launched and you can expect a whole host of new features(rumors sites look to have gotten much of it right) – 3G networking, GPS + guided maps, 3rd party applications, global rollout… my favorite feature is the flush headphne jack. No need for those special adapters any longer.
Price? 8GB 199$US and 16GB 299$US. Expect the second coming when this hits stores on July 11th.
