Beach 87th St. / Surfing After Sandy

The brothers Huffman, whose last creation was the super rad series “Snowcraft,” have returned with an important piece of work dedicated to the recovery of NYC’s beachfront community, Rockaway Beach. “Beach 87th St. / Surfing After Sandy” details both the tragedy and the inspirational aspects of the neighborhood’s ongoing rebuild. Written and directed by Jesse and Lukas Huffman, the film also features images from Mikey DeTemple, Nick Lavecchia, Joe Carter, and Ryan Struck.
