In a groundbreaking move for the skateboard industry, the day Wednesday has been given it’s own pro model by DVS. OK, it’s actually a collaborative version of the Berra 3 between Steve Berra, Giovanni Reda, and DVS to celebrate Reda’s show “Wednesday’s With Reda” on The Berrics, but it’s super rad that it just says Wednesdays on the side. Hump day will never be the same. To launch the shoe KCDC is having a coffee and cannolis party on Saturday March 20th. Full details after the jump.
The dope Andy Kessler tribute pack by Vans has just hit select shops this week, including KCDC in Brooklyn. Peep some more looks at the Andy Kessler Old Skool and Sk8 Hi including the AK x NYC Skateboarding packaging after the jump. RIP to the legend.
The magnifying devastation in Haiti, included the aftermath of the heavy aftershock yesterday, continues to elicit support from all facets of the action sports industry. Tonight, Brooklyn’s KCDC is hosting a relief effort at the shop with 100% proceeds going directly to the Red Cross. Full info after the jump.
What does KCDC ever do that isn’t dope – nothing that’s what. Same deal for their new collabo tee with Todd Bratrud. Speaking of Bratrud, when does he do something that isn’t dope too? Exactly. Available in white and olive as well as in a long sleeve, this kit will be available starting tomorrow only at KCDC BK as well as in their online shop. You better cop quick. Oh yeah, to make it a bit more interesting, Amy Gunther just did a rad interview with the artist too, check it out here.
This Sunday don’t expect pyrotechnics and megaramps at KCDC when the Matix team stops by for their demo. Even though it’s a pretty big deal that Brandon Biebel, Mike Mo, Jeron Wilson, Torey Pudwill, Marty Murawski, and Jesus Fernandez are coming to town, it isn’t being called the Recession Session for nothing. Fun starts at 3pm.
HighSnob broke the news on these in the beginning of June and finally the thermo-adaptive leather Jason Jessee x Vans Syndicate Sk8-Hi pack has arrived at KCDC. These buttery joints will probably not last through the weekend and are gonna be essential once the temperature drops so you might want to hit them up soon.
Brooklyn’s finest, KCDC, just relaunched their online store with a mission to keep it mad local. Go here for decks and apparel from NYC brands like Hopps, Coda, Substance, and 5Boro as well as KCDC’s in-house line. To celebrate the new online store, they are hooking up freebies with most purchases. Word.
KCDC is launching a new Thursday night movie series this week with the mother of all skate films: The Search For Animal Chin. This Thursday August 6th at 6:30pm clueless young’uns and grizzled OG’s alike will be on hand to watch Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Lance Mountain, Mike McGill and Tommy Guerrero in the skate flick that started it all. Then stay tuned for a new movie every week. This is some guaranteed fun. To buy this classic, hit up Powell Peralta here. KCDC is located at 90 N 11th St @ Wythe in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Like the opening of Al Capone’s vaults, but this time with something of value actually inside of them, KCDC has just put the last few remaining pairs of their Chukka Low collab with Vans and Neckface out for sale. You better go hard to Brooklyn if you want to get a pair of these.
As expected, the Supra x KR3W x Baker x KCDC jumpoff was off the chain last night. KCDC was rammed out and TK was in superstar mode but keeping it mad humble and dapping every homie, squeezing every shorty, and signing everything that anyone put in front of him. The Muska lorded over the entire scene while Lizard King lurked and Antwuan Dixon made sure the spot stayed live the entire night – from the mini ramp to the bar – while his brawl montage from the Baker Deathwish Summer Tour video almost made the room break out in fisticuffs just because. More pics after the jump.
