Ken Block has so much going on it’s hard to keep track. Here he is test driving his new Ford Focus in the forests of England to prepare for a race in Mexico. We’re not sure how that all makes sense but its fun to watch him beat the hell out of the car, that’s for sure.
Yep, it’s true, Ken Block has a new whip. Behold the Monster Energy World Rally Team 2010 Ford Fiesta that Mr Block will no doubt be hucking and jiving all over the interwebz for the next year. Say what you want about Ford, the shit is pretty rad. Some still shots after the jump.
So yes it’s true, Ken Block has left longtime car sponsor Suburu for the deeper pockets and further ranging vehicle classes of Ford. We know these Hitler vids are a dime a dozen these days, but this one is hella funny for real. Keep an eye out for Ken’s new Focus coming soon.
Ken Block is totally insane – in the best of ways. After pretty much inventing the sport of Gymkhana to satisfy his need for speed, he’s taken it to another level with his next adrenaline project, the TRAX STI. A Subaru WRX STI with snow cat tracks, and a 2.5 liter, 4-cylinder, 400-hp turbocharged and intercooled STI engine tuned with a MOTEC M800 ECU, the TRAX STI may be the fastest vehicle to travel on snow ever. Of course it’s also hooked up with a sleigh trailer big enough for four shredders and all of their shit, meaning the DC team is gonna get to some spots that no one else does this year. Peep the video above and hit 0-60 Magazine for the real gearhead details. More on this to come.
Someone must really love this Gymkhana thing, cause it keeps going longer than the energy bunny. Next up is version 2.1. This one is pretty funny though, with Rob Dyrdek getting in on the action in his exact replica mini-Gymkhana whip and further proving that he gets paid purely to have fun. You can’t hate on that though. If you still need more, hit up DC for some behind the scenes love.
It may as well be DCTV. Following the heels of Rob Dyrdek getting the green light for season two of Fantasy Factory, Travis Pastrana and his crew have gotten another go around for Nitro Circus. They’ve even been bumped over to MTV’s “See You Thursday” programming, which actually sounds pretty lame (must be the cuts in marketing at Viacom), but should be a good look for the show nevertheless. DC athlete Jolene Van Vugt will also continue to Vugt shit up as Nitro Girl while Jim DeChamp, Andy Bell, Erik Roner, Street Bike Tommy, and new guy Special Greg, will also be in the mix. There’s bound to be a Ken Block cameo too. Not coincidentally, the first season of “Nitro Circus” is set to release on DVD on Tuesday, September 8th. Season two of “Nitro Circus” will premiere on Thursday, August 27th at 10 PM ET/PT. For more go here.
We’ve been bringing you steady news about Ken Block’s rally alter ego and his new Gymkhana TWO project. Finally here’s a couple up close looks at the two Teamworks sneakers, the Spartan High and the Manteca 3. Block had both models flipped to take after his tricked out Suburu Impreza. A look at the Manteca after the jump.
After all the build up, speed freaks can rejoice with the release today of Gymkhana TWO, the follow-up to Ken Block’s Suburu Impreza wile out session. Gymkhana TWO is being billed as the “next level” of infomercial and is intended to move units of Block’s new Teamworks collection consisting of a reversible windbreaker, a T-shirt, a sweatshirt, hat and two sig shoes, the Block Manteca 3 and the Block Spartan High. If it inspires you to buy, you can get the Gymkhana collection here.
This week at the Port of Los Angeles, DC and Ken Block held a sneak preview for his latest insanity project: Gymkhana TWO. Along with his DC compadre, Rob Dyrdek, and 150 special guests, Block showed his video, launched his new Rally edition TeamWorks line and even took a few people for a ride in his Subaru Impreza WRX STI. The new collection features two pairs of shoes, a reversible windbreaker, a T-shirt, a sweatshirt and a hat all inspired by Block’s car. Gymkhana TWO drops on June 1 right here. More event images after the jump.
Following the viral success of his first Gymkhana video and the subsequent remix edition, Ken Block has decided to go at it again for Gymkhana TWO. It could also have something to do with the fact that he just loves to fuck shit up at high speeds. In any case, Gymkhana TWO will feature a new location, new whip, and new carnage and will debut online on June 1. Leading up to the drop DC is launching teaser videos here for the next couple weeks. Check out a few misty stills of the 2008 Suburu STi after the jump.
