Polar Bear Club x Motel NoTell

Nah, not the fat old dudes who swim in the freezing ocean, the other Polar Bear Club stopped through Nike’s Motel NoTell last week to make a bunch of iD shoes and print some custom tees on the Motel’s sublimation machine. The upstate NY punk band is touring in support of their latest album, Chasing Hamburg. Could a 6.0 collabo be in the works?

Nike 6.0 Stinkween Bash at the Motel No Tell

Nike 6.0 is going so big in SoCal right now. As we mentioned a few times before, they swooped in and took over a whole motel in downtown San Clemente and turned it into the Motel No Tell, an artist and athlete-inspired respite away from the bro brah craze of the OC’s action sports event packed summer. Last week during Agenda and the US Open of Surfing, they threw down a crazy jammy jam to release the Stinkween Braata with Madsteez and Stink. All stunts were pulled out: They had lasers, a Delorean and a $36,000 sublimation machine so people could do one of a kind sublimated tees on the spot. And since kids can’t drink booze, they even had a candy room so the young’uns could tweak out on suger! Roll the video.

Rad Collector - Point Break Live
You know this is gonna be some shit! Nike 6.0 is throwing down beaucoup festivities at the Motel No Tell over the next couple of weeks but this one may just take the cake. This Sunday, July 19th, invited guests will get a chance to see and participate in Point Break Live: Adrenaline Edition. What the hell is Point Break Live you ask? Why it’s a live action version of the Xtreme cinema classic where audience members are pulled in to re-enact pivotal scenes. This could finally be your chance to channel Johnny Utah in public!

Nike 6.0 x Jimbo Phillips + Pier Pressure

Rad Collector - Nike 6.0 x Jimbo Phillips + Pier Pressure
In addition to the Motel No Tell poppin off down in San Clemente, Nike 6.0 has also teamed up with Jack’s Surfboards to present the Pier Pressure surf comp in Huntington Beach from June 28th to the 29th. Taking it up another notch, they linked with Jimbo Phillips, son of the legendary Jim Phillips, to produce the event artwork and 24 pairs of hand painted Nike 6.0 Cush’s. Five pairs will be sold through the Jack’s online store, twelve will be sold at the Motel No Tell, and the other seven will be promo’d to a handful of the raddest influencers on the planet. To keep up on all the madness going on at the Motel No Tell go here. To keep an eye on those five pairs dropping at Jack’s go here. And for some more pics, yep, they’re here too, right after the jump.

Rad Collector - Nike 6.0 Motel No Tell
Nike 6.0 is going hard in SoCal this summer with the opening of the Motel No Tell at the historic Inn at Calafia Beach in San Clemente. Transforming the 16 room hotel into the epicenter of all things 6.0, the Motel No Tell will do everything from house athletes to host events like movie premieres, product launches, art shows, and workshops. The Motel will also feature an onsite retail lobby stocked with 6.0’s most limited edition product. There’s even a BBQ hooked up for endless courtyard partays! More on this dope spot this week.
