It’s been a minute, but yes wakeskate is still alive and kicking, or kick flipping we should say. Case in point is Nike 6.0’s latest endeavor for the sport: the “Retention” Pro/Am invitational in Nahunta, Georgia. Watch the rad recap video from the six man finale above. Sick!

Each of the t-shirts and shoes incorporate a visual representation the artist’s take on Just Do It and coincide with the launch of Nike’s newest campaign “The Chosen“. The increasingly rad Nike 6.0 has just dropped some looks at their catalog for summer 2011. Our favorite are the new refined Mavrk Lo 2’s, especially these aqua blue/white colorway with black swoosh and perforated toebox. Check out two more colorways after the jump.
Radcollector got together with Louie Vito, Nike 6.0, Frank151 and TheGoodLife! to make shred x hip hop history at Winter X 15 in Aspen Colorado this year. Not only did Louie win his first ever X Games medal with a bronze in halfpipe, but he brought Yelawolf on snow for the first time and had him charging Snowmass like an expert after only two days. After the shredfest, Yelawolf took over The Belly Up with the stoke in his belly and gave one of the best shows of his life, bringing out Trouble Andrew for a rendition of his anthem “Take it to the Top” before Z Trip caused a near riot with his closing set. Peep the madness above.
