Omar Salazar and Nike SB threw a two day shredfest in the Bay Area this week to coincide with his new signature shoe drop. Rad Collector columnist Tracy Anderson was out west to skate Sac Town, BBQ with the Thrasher heads, tour Deluxe, and kick it with Omar, P-Rod, Koston, Stefan Janoski, Brian Anderson, Justin Brock and a long list of other SB shreds as well as to get the story about what it took for Omar to get his shoe turned into a reality. Nike SB has released the first episode of the “Don’t Fear the Sweeper Tour”. This first installment covers tour stops in Denver, Kansas City, and Minneapolis. They also bless you with street footage from the SB team including new riders Eric Koston and Cory Kennedy. Part 2 drops on January 25th.

Continuing to stomp on fools with an endless stream of ill renditions of the Rubber Player, Nixon today drops a super limited collab with P-Rod his LA boutique, Primitive. The Nixon x Primitive collabo comes in a Lakers purple and gold and a sick jet black with turquoise and will only be available in-store. Primitive is located on 17060 Ventura Blvd in Encino. Tony Hawk, several action sports luminaries, Blink-182 and a grip of Hollywood big shots got together last weekend at billionaire Ron Burkle’s crib to throw a fundraiser for a new skatepark in Watts. Hollywood is so fresh, only there could you be this dude and still get picked to host fundraisers. It really is like whatever, though, as long as the kids get something good out of it. ESPN’s Josh Brooks made a fun little video from the occasion. Check it out.

Gearing up for the 8/8 release of the new P-Rod 3, Nike SB has just released a new ad called “Today Was A Good Day.” Yup you guessed it, P-Rod flipped Ice Cube in this ode to Los Angeles but instead of not having to fire his AK, P-Rod just got to have a sick day of skating.
